The journey begins in Taormina with a brief stopover at the Alcantara Gorges. Here, you have the option to explore the park further by walking along the riverbed (for an additional fee). The adventure continues as you travel by coach to the Etna station, situated at an altitude of 1,900 metres on the volcano. There'll be a stop with the possibility of a short trek to visit the recent lava flows. Along the way, seize the opportunity to capture some memorable photographs of the scenic landscape.
From there, it is possible to ascend to the authorised crater zones at approximately 2,900 metres. Accompanied by licensed guides from the Italian Alpine Club, you'll be able to safely admire the summit craters within the designated security area.
