What to expect

Embark on a historic E-Bike ride along one of the world’s most iconic ancient roads. You'll start your tour directly on the Appian Way, allowing you to skip the busy central Rome traffic. You'll ride along the millenary Regina Viarum (Appian Way), lined with ancient tombs and majestic umbrella pines, before reaching the Aqueduct Park where you'll witness the Roman engineering and admire the impressive Aqua Claudia arches.

Afterwards, you'll enjoy a VR Time Travel experience at the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and relive the Mausoleum and the Caetani Castle as they were 2,000 years ago. On your way back, you'll cycle through some historic parks such as Caffarella and Tor Fiscale and take in the scenic views of the Roman countryside. Upon return, you'll have the option to stop for lunch at a nearby self-service restaurant.

Meeting point:

If you reach the meeting point by public transport, take the bus line 118 towards Villa dei Quintili, and get off at the Basilica di San Sebastiano stop. Your guide will welcome you in front of Sebastiano Catacombs entrance (next to the drinking fountain).

What to remember

Know in advance:

Children must be at least 12 years old to operate their own E-Bike
Infants (under 20kg/44 lbs) can travel for free in a child seat. Children (under 139cm/4ft 7in) must use a trailer bike.
A minimum riding level is necessary: the Appian Way is paved with ancient cobblestones, requiring competence to avoid falls.
A minimum of 4 participants is required. If the minimum is not met you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund
A short assessment test will be conducted. The guide reserves the right to deny participation (no refund) if a guest is unsuitable due to lack of ability or health concerns.
The route is almost entirely traffic-free. Only two brief crossings on roads open to light traffic are necessary to access the Aqueduct and Caffarella Parks.
