What to expect

Run through Paphos' rich history. This is the place where the legendary goddess Aphrodite was born. Every step of the marathon route is inspired by ancient mythology, taking runners on a journey where they can test their endurance against mythical landscapes.

On March 7 and 8, 2026, you can join thousands of people from around the world for an amazing running festival. Whatever event you choose, you'll get a medal to remember your achievement.

The experience continues after you finish the race. This event brings together runners from Cyprus, the UK, Germany, Poland and across the globe, fostering a strong sense of community. It's a chance to meet other people who love running in a beautiful place by the Mediterranean Sea.

Last but not least, this marathon will be so much more than just a race. It will be an opportunity to leave a lasting and positive mark on Cyprus: for every runner who completes the course, one tree will be planted in one of the villages along the route. This will help preserve the island’s natural beauty and support local communities long after the race is over.

Come for the run, stay for the amazing atmosphere, and go away with memories that will last forever.

Half-day Troodos Mountains village tour with art museum visit

Leave the lure of Paphos' beaches behind as you head west into the Troodos Mountains to understand the art and soul of this region of Cyprus. First up is a visit to the small, olive tree-lined village of Platanisteia. The place's claim to fame is the 20th-century artist Hambis Tsangaris, who lived and worked here in the 80s. You'll tour the printmaking museum that he established, see his work and learn about his inspirations, from the Cypriot landscape to folk stories and war. From here, you'll begin climbing into the foothills of the Troodos Mountains, making your next stop at the little village of Arsos. It's set among the many vineyards of this wine-making centre, giving it a rustic feel that gets stronger as you see the terracotta rooftops and brightly painted shutters of the houses here. Pull up a chair and relax for a morning coffee at one of the local cafes. Don't be surprised to find a few of the local gents playing tavli, or backgammon, at the next table. Finally, you'll take scenic mountain tracks to reach a dense forest. Hiding among the pines is the Medieval Tzelefos Bridge, a Venetian stone bridge over the Diarizos River. It's a great place to grab a selfie and then take a wander in the woods, where you can breathe in the wild herbs that grow along the river before returning to Paphos.

Lefkara and Nicosia guided walking tour

Looking to add an extra dose of culture to your holiday to Cyprus? This well-rounded guided tour is just what you need. After being picked up at your accommodation, you'll head to your first stop, the village of Lefkara. This picturesque little spot is known across the island for its silver and lace handicrafts. You'll have plenty of opportunities to shop for some yourself as you follow your guide around some of the village's cobbled lanes. From here, you'll start the drive to Nicosia, where you'll kick off your tour at Laiki Geitonia. This part of the city is completely pedestrianised and is nestled inside 16th-century Venetian walls. Most of the houses here have been restored from the 18th century, so be sure to have your camera ready – the stonework on show is something else. Finally, you'll follow your guide through the checkpoint and into the northern part of the city. There's loads of postcard-worthy landmarks on display here, like the Cathedral of Saint Sophia, the most important religious building in Nicosia. It's over 700 years old and, although it was built as a cathedral, it's now used as a mosque.

Excursions & day trips

Tour of Cypriot mountain villages with food and wine-tasting

You're in for an authentic taste of Cyprus on this adults-only tour through the Troodos Mountains, where food is a cornerstone of the local culture. You'll eat your way from village to village – visiting Laneia, Agros and another mountain village to taste its wines. Few outsiders make it to these foothill villages, where ancient cultural traditions are an integral part of everyday life. Heading out of Paphos, the journey begins in Laneia with a short, guided tour of the village where you'll see the warm Cypriot greeting of kopiaste – ‘come join us' – in action all around the flower-scented, photogenic, cobbled streets. Next, it's on to Agros to taste its famous homemade spoon sweets, made from fruit preserved in syrup. You'll drive north to the largest of these mountain villages, Kyperounda, where you'll tuck into a typical Cypriot lunch in a traditional taverna, before finishing the day at a nearby winery. Here, in the heart of the Troodos Mountains, you'll learn about the art of wine-making and sip your way through a tasting session.
