Rubens House is a must-see while you’re in Antwerp. The museum is located inside the former home and studio of the world-famous Baroque painter, Peter Paul Rubens, one of the most prominent artists to have lived in Antwerp. It’s a true testament to his legacy and artistic vision.
As you step inside Rubens House, prepare to be transported back in time to the 17th century, when Rubens lived and worked there. The mansion was then passed onto the Duke of Newcastle and later purchased by the City in 1937. The building has since been rebuilt and refurbished, with many of the original furnishings and decorations still intact, including some of Rubens’ own artwork.
